before anybody says anything this isnt tech lol...

ok so i replaced my rear u joint about two weeks ago, well i noticed that its starting to vibe again, so my first thought is maybe i put the u joint is in wrong and went out again, so i get underneath there and look at it and the driveshaft has play in it, thats not right, so im looking at it as im moving it around and i realize, hey the caps arent even holding it!! The new caps are too big and the u joint is just sliding back and forth inside there, so luckily, for some weird reason i still have my old caps laying around, i put them on with the new bolts and boom! perfect fit, now all my vibes are gone, and the d-shaft is tight as can be

well i got the caps from autozone and the back of the package says that they are for a jeep cherokee, they obvsiously aren't, i just thought it was a weird fluke thing lol

 

there are a couple different u joints used in xjs. You replaced caps only?!

 

haha no no, i should have been more specific, i meant the caps that hold the u joint to the yoke, i replaced the whole u-joint with a spicer 1310 one
