I have installed a similar system for a buddie of mine on his 5.7l dodge and he relly didnt think it was worth the money he put in. but on that same note the hemi has a very intersting design on the intake to creat a swirl. on the jeep system you would have better luck forcing air threw the intake.

Iwould say that based on physics alone it will work and perform as stated. It acts the same way as a ram air induction would, only this is electric turbine. I say go for it. Let us know how you make out. I'm considering giving it a shot as well.

It's a 12 volt squirrel cage fan, it will produce no pressure and will probably interfere with the air flow at high engine rpms. It's a gimmick to remove you of your money. I also have never seen a "turbo" that increased fuel economy.

I have no proof......just don't see how an electric motor can make enough boost. If it were that easy to gain up to 25% increase.......well, usually if it sounds too good to be true, it's not true.

So turbos don't improve fuel economy? hmmmmmm 7.3 non turbo diesel gets 4.6 mpg and the turbo version gets roughly 10 mpg. similarly, non-turbo subarus get less mpg than the turbo version. Yes turbos give more mpg's. whether or not this air turbine will remains to be seen. worse case scenario, you return it for a full refund. where's "gimmick to remove you of your money"?

An exhaust system moves mass amounts of air on a dual turbine do understand on the desiel engins thoes turbos spin at about 32 thousand rpm...

Not only is it a waste of money. If it self destructs it sends pieces of plastic into your intake creating major problems. If you want such a little power gain, upgrade something worth while. Lets be realistic.

electric motors can be quite powerful. i think it'll to pretty well. since the swith is two ways it will either be on or off. i could be wrong on that switch tho. electric motors have instant torque so it spools almost instantly. no lag. and forces more air into the ingine for a more complete burn. more mpg.

also i would like to point out that when compairing desiel to gas it makes a great change in reasoning for example, the 5.9 or 6.7 uses strait compression to ignite the diesel, a 19/1 compresion ration will bring the air temp in the chamber to about 900 deg. no need for a spark... so without the turbo neather of the two engins I listed will even run. i highly doubt the lil electric fan will beable to creat enough presure to change the atg ratio. on average a desiel is designed to have a min of 14 and a max of about 26 psi to operate properly (not on a perfomance system)
