Yeah just like that... now... how exactly do you plan on doing the hinges? I know a lot of people who have removable doors run 5/16 pins, but I have 7/16, and some people have bigger or smaller... are you just going to do them per request?

I don't plan to make these per request. I'm gonna start by making multiple sets and put them up on the forum and sell them that way. Once I figure out the shipping cost that will become available too. I'm wondering if wrapping both doors together with pallet wrap and sticking a label on them would be ok. That's how my JCR quarter guards showed up when I ordered em'.
I had planned to use the stock size hinge pins. I'm pretty sure they are 1/4" (at least for the 96 and down), I planned to mimic the way the stock hinges work to keep the amount of modification someone has to do if they get the doors. With all that said to begin with I will only be supporting 4 door 96 and down XJs since that's all I have for fitment checks. As time goes by if i can find a 97+ Ill make a set and create a jig to build them, same goes with 2 doors. They are few n far between (at least for me, I've only seen a couple in pers.
But if anyone wants something custom made it will have to be in person since guessing never goes well.

Hate to say it but some of the XJ guys around here are kinduv anti-social. I got my first XJ when I was stationed in Panama City FL and anybody that had one was all about talking and wrenching on em' or going for trail rides.

I have seen a couple 97+ XJs driving around my base so if I can track them down at some point I'll for sure make a set and jig em' up.

I would love it if some worthless enviro-dink came up to me and complained about my carbon footprint. Its so sad that people don't realize making the batteries and all that other special just that goes into the hybrids is just as if not more harmful to the environment as bad gas mileage.

Ignorance is bliss I guess...

I changed a few things design wise:
-I found a source to get door latches so it will operate like a normal door instead of some sort of spring loaded pin setups I've seen people use. (you can just slam the door shut and it will latch closed on its own)
-the door is a bit longer and is further outboard than my original design, so it gives driver and passenger more space inside and also is almost even with the front fender and rear door.
-Thicker tubing. Originally I had planned on .080 wall almost like conduit. I realized the door needed to actually offer some protection and have a good amount of strength so now it will be .125 wall instead. These doors will look nice and be tough as well.
Looking back $200 was the price I think everyone had liked. But because of the higher build quality I'm going to be asking somewhere around $225. That's for both doors bare metal since I don't wanna deal with coating them since that will just add cost and then I'm sure different people will want other colors finishes etc. I think that's a fair price considering what other doors like warrior cost, they look nice but are not very strong.
