Default "Transfer case saver", they say. Helpful or hogwash?

Anybody know anything about this product, or this company?

Transfer Case Saver Kits:

Increased Holding Surface

Increased Tensile Strength

Increased Locking Quality

Eliminates costly internal damage due to a broken stock snap-ring.

I have never had a problem with that snap ring, nor do I know anyone who has. I am skeptical of the need
