Yep, I run a container of fuel injector cleaner/octane booster through every third or fourth tank, helps a bunch. Glad your jeep is doing well!

When I replaced my spark plugs and coil rack, Chery got alot smoother, than again, she had the same plugs from the factory, and 143K miles, so those old plugs looked pretty bad...

Yep thats the way it goes. My two stroke competition bikes always told me right before they went like clockwork. I've predicted my Banshee's, LTR's, and 250r's blowing up like rainman my whole life.

Ok well the trail I've been looking forward to was a total bust! It was snowing like a madman, roadside snow taller then me in places and the plow used the trail enterence as a place to stash all the snow plowed off the road.........So, me and Zoey spent the day cruising old country backroads.......Was deliverence filmed in Oregon? cause I swear I heard Banjo's playing.

Haven't looked yet, but I think I still got some cool pictures.

Sorry am a little late. lol idk about the Early model jeep cherokees like yours.
But our late model cherokees, They werent built for Speed. Everybody thats a jeeper that owns a jeep cherokee 4.0 inline 6 knows that it wasent built for speed nore for racing. It was built for a In town SUV. You can directly tell by looking at the dash and the guage says 85MPH. Well in my 1993 it does idk bout the new jeeps above 1995. But yeahh, its allways been designed for low end torgue, off roading, Towing, Stuff in that kind of nature. Thats why you really dont see that much jeep cherokee on the high way so much. Thats what i think. My opinion.

My son told me to use a certain kind of injector cleaner and I would be amazed....I am now!
What was the brand of injector cleaner?

And no, I don't think you're crazy. I ran a can of cleaner in my gas tank last week and noticed the RPM's are a little steadier......also set off the check engine light but that went away a couple of days later.

Lucas, I got it at O'reilly's (Schucks) I think it's the injection cleaner/octane booster-whitish bottle/yellowish fluid, wish I had another bottle handy so I could tell you exactually what it was.

I'm familiar with Lucas products. Good stuff. I used their power steering stop leak in my CJ and it actually worked. It also slowed my PS leak in the Mustang as well. A product that actually does what it is supposed to do.

Looks like your kid is pretty smart and knows his stuff.
