Just found this cool clip from the show Top Gear and it features an early model XJ

 

Old as the internet itself.












But still good.

And notice, they haven't used a single Jeep in any bit since this aired. In the Boliva offroad episode, a Sami, Rover & Toyota. In Clarksons Heaven & Hell special, when a Rover vs an American offroader, they used a Cadillac. All the icelandic episodes either have Toyotas or home built buggies.

If you truly own an XJ you cant help but love and agree with this clip.

 

Havn't seen it for a while, but their was a jeremy clarkson vid from the 80's about the xj as well.

 

Now that I want to see.

 

Great clip. I like it when the britts say good things about AMERICAN cars, even more so when I own one.

 

Well, to be fair, there probably aren't a whole lot of XJs in England, at least when compared to Toyota Hiluxes.

I SO wanted to see a Jeep in the Bolivian special. I think it would have been a no-brainer, and a better choice than Hammond's FJ40.
