Tire Size/Ratios Confuse Me.

I am looking at buying some stock rims and tires from new model jeep wrangler for my old cherokee.

Stock height, will the 255/75r17 fit and not rub on a stock height XJ?

This tool shows that its 4 more inches, but that would be 2 more on top and bottom right?

It's also the wrong bolt pattern.

wheels off a compass/patriot will fit, they are the same bolt pattern as an XJ.

That is a good tool to get tire sizes from ratios.

What good adapters cost you can buy rims that fit,Those cheapo ones on ebay will get you hurt when they fail.
