Default Tire size question

Would 31in tires on 15in rims fit a stock XJ. It is not lifted but I want the biggest tires possible. It is a '99. Thanks

Mmhmm I doubt it cus even of you could get them you wouldn't be able to turn. Either lift it a couple inches of cut the fenders out

I don't think they will fit. Massive rubbing would occur. Get a cheap BB kit and put on 31s.

a 2" BB and trimming will clear 31s but i hope your not looking for any flexing in the future with that setup

I have this setup and still get rubbing on LCA. Be sure to get at least 3.75 BS on those wheels because I have 4.0 and still rubs.

I was just talking about with the wheel wells, i forgot to even go into rubbing on the lcas! Good thing to point out too, I have 31s on my 3.5" lift with 1.25" spacers on factory wheels so I have 4.20 inches of BS and don't rub at all. But I also have drop brackets so that contributes to the angle of the tire to the arms as well

Yes you can do it but it would take some tweaking to get it not to rub.

I agree with everyone as in with the BB lift. Its easier.
