Default tire size

Hi we just got a 98 grand Cherokee limited 5.9L the tires we have on it are just a hair bigger than stock tires they do rub when we crank the wheel real far one way or the other to turn. .. now is this going to hurt anything other than the tires or fenders?

OK ty BC the dealer we got it from is telling me that's why my check. Engine. Light is kicking out a TCC code which I knew I wasn't crazy for thinking he was wrong. does anyone know anything about what it takes to fix a P0740 code ? is it hard ? i know some about engine work but not alot. also cant i just put spacers on to keep the tires from rubbing on the inside till i have money to lift ?
