Tire Dealer and Speed Rating
Hi
Apologies if this in the wrong section, but I need some advice.
My wifes leased Cherokee is due to be returned and, in advance of the appraisal, I had the tires replaced. I told the the tire dealer the size (225/65/17) and nothing more, and I have noticed (a day later - car has only been driven the 5 miles home from the tire dealer) that they have fitted 102S and not the recommended 102T tires - I did not mention speed rating, nor was I asked by the tire dealer.
Is it reasonable to expect them to AT LEAST fit the minimum recommended rating (as denoted on the driver door tire placard) and should they correct it?
Thanks!

112MPH (S) vs 118MPH (T)? Is that really an issue on an XJ? It certainly wouldn't be for me since I usually keep my vehicles well under 112 MPH.

You guys are missing the point. This is a leased KL, and I'm guessing the OP is worried about what the dealer will say about the tires upon turn in from said lease. OP, I honestly don't know, but you might want to call a dealer "anonymously" and ask if it will be a problem.
