Is there anything that i should be worried about with HID's? Are they hard to mount and what do you mount them on?

I got some HID in the middle of my roof rack. I'm thinking of getting some for the bumper. Anyhow, I did this so I don't have to go through the hassle of buying the proper lenses so that I don't blind anyone or get pulled over. I only wanted the lights for nighttime wheeling.

If you don't go my route, you will want to get some high quality lenses/housings so that you don't blind everyone on the road. I'm sure someone will chime in. There are plenty of threads that the search feature will point you to.
You will need to buy the housings and a HID kit basically. You will also want to get a wire harness because the factory harness sucks.

Proper lenses and housings are a must. I've got the cheap eBay "projector" housings that work fine but perform nowhere near as well as legitimate retrofitted projectors will. It's really a matter of finance and willingness to sacrifice performance. Whatever kit you get, try to find one that comes with a warranty as the odds are pretty good either a ballast or bulb will go bad shortly after install.
Also, go Bi-Xenon rather than the kits that use a halogen bulb for high beams. Even if you never use the high beam, the lesser wires with the Bi-Xenon really help with the limited space you'll have behind the housings.
Many will recommend a new wiring harness but I opted out of using mine. There are kits that have in-line relays and fuses and draw power directly from the battery so power supply and burning out your headlight switch isn't a huge concern. Just as with the halogen highs, the extra wiring can get in the way as well.
Your biggest issue will be finding space for everything: the wires, ballasts, bulb plugs, relays and fuses can be difficult to find a home for if you aim to put everything high and tight in the engine bay.

I did my own harness because my headlight switch began smoking while driving at night....I recommend you do the harness, but with the headlight switch, your mileage may vary.

What he said ^
original.....If you look at the photo I posted previously, you will see a chrome canister in the middle of the light bar. I have the ballasts hidden in there with a weatherproof seal and some ventilation holes.
