I used to work for precision turbo- give them a call if this is something you are serious about. They will offer you direction and help no matter what your level of skill and are a great team of guys. www.precisionturbo.net
lol
there's nothing wrong with turbo'ing your stock 4.0, but that turbo is tiny, its like a 25mm, lol, i understand your motor has to have the power in the first place to get it spooling, but i just think that thing looks more cute than cool, one of my best friends has a 1991 Mustang LX hatchback with a built 306(5.0L) and a single 70mm turbo on it, and hes pushing 500RWHP
offroad nut it says right below it where he got it from, but yes those figures are incorrect from what i know, maybe thats for the 4 cylinder?
i thought the 4.0L H.O. was around 190HP and 230Ft-lbs of torque

the turbo yj runs an ax15 i wanna say 4.56 gears and 35" stt's.
him and the turbo xj are both members of www.sisoffroad.com
thats rear wheel horsepower, not at the flywheel

I realize that, at the fly wheel its closer to 650HP, im just saying whats the point of turbo'ing such a meek motor in the first place, unless the block is all built and your gonna put atleast a 40mm turbo on there, i dont even see the point of wasting the money, and the more i think about it, the less sense it makes to turbo a rock crawler, you'd be better off super charging, cus the turbo isnt going to build power till the end of each gear with a heavy load on the motor, which when your crawling, although you may put up the RPM's its just like revving it in park or neutral, your moving to slowly to put a high load on it to build boost, maybe if you were building a jeepspeed jeep, or a hill climber it would be cool to see, otherwise i just don't get it...
Check these guys out!! They are a local outfit here in COS, and there are a few XJs running around town with their set up. These are super chargers, so they make power closer to the bottom than a turbo will. HTH!!
