Default Thank you all! (Selling XJ)

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to tell everyone on the site THANK YOU for the resources to keep my XJ going strong.

I am still going to keep my membership, keep posting when applicable and support the forum each year with a donation, but I bought an 06 Land Cruiser therefore in the coming weeks will be selling my XJ. It will be listed on Bring a Trailer with no reserve.

I have two young children and although I haven’t owned a vehicle I loved more than my XJ over the last several months it had become apparent that I needed the added space/luxury/safety/power.

I know that this is a Cherokee forum but if you all want I’ll post up some photos of my new ride.

Thank you for everything!!

Eric

Are you aware of their transmission issues? The factory recommends a 60,000 mile service interval. Many don't make it to the first one. I suspect it might be a decent transmission if the fluid were changed every 30,000, but the EPA wants manufacturers to cut down on total petroleum usage, so we are seeing these extended service intervals. It doesn't always work out well.

Oh, the irony!

I bought a Land Cruiser not a Land Rover. I owned a 2004 Land Rover back in 2007-13 and it wasn’t as bad as they get made out to be, however I couldn’t get used to the door lock button being on the dashboard, ever.
