Tax time is soon...What are your plans?
Im getting new tires and rims and another XJ. The XJ is for the wife. I took her on a weekend offroad trip for the first time and now she wants an XJ. She had a ball, gotta love that combo, sexy and loves to wheel.
Back off guys , shes all mine!Lol. But seriously. The crazy part is weve been together almost 20 years and thats the first time I took her.

I probably wont be getting much back myself thanks to being on partial lay off for 12 weeks then 4 whole months of full lay off this year. So maybe fill my truck up with gas is all ill be doing with it, if i even get that much.

I'm a jerk...My g/f claims our two kids...so none of the tax time money of mine goes to them...Daddy has a 97 XJ with tranny problems and pretty well stock...So money is going to XJ. I was looking into getting a small car/motorcycle for when XJ is just to slow...none of the cars I saw do I want...still considering motorcycle...something like a Honda CBR-600...

Well I've got a couple things in mind for tax time. Depending of course on how much I get back this year.
-Buy a welder
-Finally gather all the parts I need for a 4x4 conversion
-Buy some 31" BFG ATs and a set of Cragar V5s for them
-Buy either a motorcyle (a smaller cc Honda Enduro would be nice, maybe a 250?) or a fuel efficient beater car for commuting. I was thinking of a Geo Tracker or something fun like that...
I probably should just save it all for buying a house (also in the long term plans) but I could use the welder to build custom workout equipment (also a long term goal) and generate more cash for the house. The 4x4 conversion and tires would just be for fun! And the bike/beater would save a ton of gas and wear and tear on my XJ (also allowing me to put away more dough for a house). This is gonna be a tough decision!

Also, she is scared of rock crawling ( I mean actually driving the jeep when rock crawling) but she gets quite the rush from in as a passenger. That rush usually ends up being good for me that night, hehe, unless I screw up and say something like "Go get the gate b****", even just jokingly, haha.
Man I wish I didn't have to sell mine, I was gunna do a shaved 14b rear, three in my hands right now, and a dana 60 front, in a friends hands. I also was guna do a tri-link front with a crossed up 4-link in the rear. I had most the part from friends and locals but I had to sell all of the parts back and the Jeep!
Probably gunna pick one up later this next year. Start out as new as possible and with no mods. Then brake the bank haha

my plan would be to get a phreakin' lift kit. but having to finagle that past the wife will be a really˛ big challenge. so it looks like that tax money will be going to daycare services!! looks like i will have to go and try my luck around the local jy and hopefully there will be an XJ with a lift kit.
