Saw her tonight! The shop used Hot Rodz(?) Desert Tan. At first, I didn't like it. Looked like it had too much yellow-green in it. But it grew on me really quickly. I was concerned it would look too military wannabe-ish. But with the black flat flares & bumpers, it looked pretty good. Pictures tomorrow when I get her back. They have a few more things to do.

I used krylon ultra flat tan!!! 60 bucks worth of sprey paint I gotta do another coat to blend all together, than for the rest of my jeeps life it could easily be fixed are parts changed like fenders ext. for cheap and quick fix.

Tan xj club!!!-jeffs-phone-008.jpg

This is my sons jeep. We, his family, painted it and built a roof rack as a gift for his graduation from Parris Island on Oct. 12th, 2012. We are so proud of our Marine and wish him lots of luck!

I wasn't a big fan of my tan color, it's grown on me though. It's not very common around my area

I had planned to do the Krylon ultra flat, too, but what it REALLY needed was expert prep work, which I didn't have the time, tools, or talent to do myself. So really, it was money well spent.

In other news, they didn't notice they had received the wrong windshield until today. Hopefully the new one arrives before they close. Otherwise, it won't be done until Monday...and I leave on a business trip on Monday afternoon. Dammit!

Nope, no windshield today. So it looks like I won't get her back until Monday. Until then, I can look at these pics and plan ahead. I think I made a mistake in having the mirrors painted tan. I should've kept them black...although, nothing says I can't do it myself later. Also missing in this pic is the brush guard. They still haven't put it back on yet, but it's only 4 bolts so no big deal. So yeah, bigger, more aggressive tires. And maybe I should bedline the lower section to give it more color contrast as well as protection. I like how the BW flat flares came out.

Ditto for me in a way, in my little local 4x4 group one guy picked OD green for his dirt bike, rifle furniture, and other things so I went Desert Tan.

Actually, off a vendor right here on CF. I had been looking for the BW flat flares for awhile and, hands down, they were the cheapest! I'm on my phone now, so its a pain to look them up, so I'll get back to you later this evening with the info.

Sorry, man, I forgot to go back and give you the answer! Serious Offroad is a vendor on here. Here's their link on CF:

Best price I found! Good luck.
