Ok, so my driver side top door hinge mount has rusted off at the welds. Does anyone have any pictures or advice on what they've done in the past to fix this problem? All my other hinges are fine, and welded in just fine, but the top hinge on my driver side door has rusted out at the welds. Any advice or pictures on how any of you guys fixed this problem would be awesome!

I was thinking of drilling a hole through the hinge mount and bolting it to some decent steel in behind where the mount had rusted out, let me know if that's a decent idea or not.

i have done several of these , pull off your kick panel , remove insulation as much as possible , remove door completely , you may have to open the area at the hinge to install backing plate ( threr is no real metal to weld to behind hinge)IF IT IS RUSTED REAL BAD , weld the plate in place first, smooth welds for hinge to sit flush weld hinge into place,( mark the hinge placement prior to removal of hinge) HAVE AN EXTINGUISHER ON HAND , YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT SPARKS CAN DO
