Ok, this is my story...worked on the XJ this weekend. Messed with this and that put on some new roof racks, just basically playing around. Last night my wife and I went out for a drive. All around town it was running great...got out on the highway...all is well. Got up to about 55 mph. and a loud whining noise started...I slowed down and it quit. Crap...immediately my brain went into overdrive, wheel bearings....rear ends...transmission. the faster I'd go the louder it got ( yes even louder than the 32 BFG mudterrains) I'm thinking dollar signs...tearing into things when we got home to see what was wrong. This went on for five minutes or so...by now ( as most any guy) I was going to pull over and crawl under it. Then my wife said...it's the roof racks whistling. Ok...I know what your thinking, but you guys would have been thinking tear the Jeep apart too right? Don't hang me out to dry...right?

Now she thinks I should pay her what a mechanic should get for diagnostics. Yes, she's still laughing at me.

was working on the door lock didnt install part of the lock right manged to jam the window closed so i basicly locked my self inside the jeep

re mounted my front bumper, which I put all of my tools on because its a big shelf... drove off to test the lights. came back and realized I went for a 5 mile drive with a bumper full of tools on top. lost em all

 

Knocked myself out with a breaker bar and a diff cover bolt that someone tightened a bit too much.
