So I heard the strangest reason to love the XJ yesterday.
I'm running an errand and see a 97+ XJ, clean, stock, nice looking XJ. I go in the store and come out and happen to see the driver going to the Jeep. Literally, a little old lady. So I compliment her on the Jeep and she tells me she's had it for years and loves the Jeep - her reason "You can't find [a small to mid-sized SUV] these days that doesn't have tinted [rear] windows."
Nice!!!

I get that all the time too, and I really don't consider mine to be all that clean - plenty of scratches and dings put in place by the previous owner and some rust spots as well. It is stock though (aside from modest upgrades like rear disc brakes and H4 headlights w/relays) and overall in decent shape for a 20-year-old salt belt vehicle.
I'd like to get my rear windows tinted though to cut down on solar gain during the summer.
