so i got my rear bump stop plates on and now im trying to figure out how much to add to front and rear. my front and rear stock bumpstops are like new and at full stuff they just touch the coil perch in the front, and the bumpstop plate in the rear. so really i only need to add how ever amount that the bump stops compress.

does any one know how much the front and rear stock bumpstops compress so i can add that much to my bumpstopping?

 

You said they just touch at full stuff...just leave them. Unless you are rubbing hard, then just 'un-stuff' til you like where it is then measure.

 

i mean by full stuff of tire into the wheel well it needs to compress the bump stop so that it limits it from going higher or i will cut up my tires on the wheel wells

 

my stock ones compressed about 2.5-3" on the front. my rears are different than XJs.
