Can you run fuel through it?

Sorry, I dont really have an answer for ya. I was just curious. I guess the question would be if the fuel would corrode the lining of the brake line

Most use teflon as an inner liner on braided brake lines so it might be a problem with long term use. Isn't brake line (1/8" or 3/16") kind of small for a fuel system?

The gas will eat away at the inner liner of the brake line. You will need fuel line. Most auto parts stores sell high pressure fuel line. You MUST get high pressure fuel line. If you get low pressure fuel line, it will either collapse the line or burst.

Brake fluid will take the paint right off of a car, so that's what they build them for. Gas is less toxic, so i think it would work just fine. I do agree that you should get one specifically for a fuel line just to be safe though.

The problem with that idea though, is if the chemical reaction is different that would corrode paint vs corroding lining of the brake line, it could still destroy it. Likley it is.

hydrochloric acid will destroy metal all day long, but it does nothing to glass.
