Default Starting trouble

So my 2000 Cherokee has not been starting on the first crank... second crank it starts right away. Now today I can't get it to start at all. This is what I get for ignoring a red flag for to long!

Any thoughts?

You'd have to give more info bc there are countless possibilities. However, easy thing to check: I've had my XJ turn over but not start bc it's been too low on coolant or too low on oil.

Check the fuel pump, listen to hear if it turns on when your ign is on.

Check to make sure you have spark.

Could be your crankshaft position sensor.

How would low coolant or low oil prevent it from starting?

I have absolutely no idea, but I have seen it first hand. Only in an XJ.

I'll have to take your word for it then. Guess it was self aware and didn't want to destroy it'self, eh?
