Default springs sagging

my leaf springs sag real easy even with only one person in the back seat. would getting a add a leaf lift kit help with that? i know they make lift kits with full leafs but they seem to only be 4.5 and up and i dont really have the money to upgrade everything that needs to be done and im only running 235/75 tires.

thanks

Only thing wrong with picking up a AAl is that yes it will lift the rear of your XJ up a little bit, and it may help just a tad with the sagging... but ultimately it seems like your stock springs are shot, and you will just be supporting the weight of the XJ on the AAL... and will wear it out to where you will just have your stock springs and AAL sagging fairly quickly at that.. that is the only draw back to doing an AAL lift when you decide to lift to a higher lift height... because if your stock springs are pretty worn out, then you will just end up with a sagging rear end if you went with an AAL.. So you can either run some lift springs in the rear, order new stock springs, or hit up a JY and pick up another set of stock springs to replace yours.

OEM leaf springs, are offered in three different sizes. about $90 each. Here's a site with Mopar Jeep OEM catalogs in PDF format. http://www.xjjeeps.com/tech_referenc...section=2&ID=0 Call a local parts dealer for price quotes.

HD are alittle stiffer than the standard, but same height. If you constantly have a lot of weight in the back. Than I would get HD. If you still plan on the AAL, than I would just get new 3" lift leaf springs. And new 3" lift coils for the front. Along with new shocks, and longer brake lines. and bump stops.
