Recently I came out to my xj and saw the spring and firestik gone. Couple days before I noticed it, I was pumping gas and reached over to make sure it was at least hand tight.

im thinking one of the 20 homeless tweakers in this parking lot I was at while in the store, or just some ******* kids.

i like how it looks and don’t wanna only put it on when in use.

no way to lock these things down huh

 

I dunno... maybe take a center punch and kill the threads below the mounting nut? It would make it a pain for anyone to remove, including yourself if you decide to remove it.

 

Firestik makes a "quick disconnect" for antennas.
Just remember every time you add a connector into the mix, the signal losses 3-6db of gain.
