^^ I agree. I hate the front end. The trailhawk edition looks okay for a new crossover. But the front end just kills it

No! From the side it looks like a Mazda 7...honestly the outgoing Liberty had more cherokee worthy body lines than this. If only the Liberty has solid axles and a straight 6...

I just read that article... terrible lol. I think it mentioned a 9 speed auto trans. Seriously? As if Chrysler isnt notorious for weak trans already.... granted not in all vehicles but this seems like a terrible idea and costly choice lol

That jalopnik article is funny. They're comparing a 2014 cherokee that they (Chrysler/Fiat) customized and called trailhawk. They made it for "offroad". That article compares it to a STOCK XJ, and even then its only slightly better statistically. Stats are stats and that thing still looks like a fat korean kid's face.

I do like how they compare the XJ and AK-47 and its true, I recomend XJs to everyone regardless of what they want. Lol

Did you check the other sections of the site, or is it 18 just in "Cherokee Chat"? I've seen them pop up in modified and stock discussions too...

From the AP article:

"
Chrysler disagrees, saying the new Cherokee has more low-gear power for towing and climbing steep grades than the 2001 Cherokee. At 184 horsepower, the base, four-cylinder engine is slightly less powerful than the 2001 Cherokee's base V6, but it's much more efficient. The new Cherokee also offers a 271-horsepower V6 and can tow up to 4,500 pounds, which is more than any other vehicle its size but about 500 pounds less than the 2001 version.

A Trailhawk edition of the new Cherokee carries Jeep's "trail rated" badge, which means it can handle a series of challenging off-road conditions, including fording water."

Lmao... V6? Think again! Also, trail rated badge? C'mon.

I like the quote that they used XJ88... sums it up.

I STILL want to know where/how the stoneguard/brushguard bumper with a winch how/is going to mount?

Aftermarket guys will be having nightmares on this one.
