Thumbs up Smittybilt Front Bumper

So I ordered a Smittybilt front bumper for my 89 XJ last week. Found out that they had issues with patent problems and are not selling it to at least spring 2012 but most likely summer 2012. Yet it is still posted for sale on lots of distributors websites, including Smittybilt. I have emailed them to complain about this. Anyone else have this issue? What bumper did you decide to go with instead? I chose the Rough Country one. It looks decent and buddies of mine said it's pretty good for the price. Plus RC has amazing customer service.

Yeah one of the vendors on this site had advertised them when they announced them and we found out it was going to be at least January but that was several months ago.

I just saw a Rough Country front bumper for the first time on Saturday. It's a nicely built piece. The fairlead hole is off center just so you aren't surprised like the owner of the one I saw was. Its supposed to be like that!

Ok cool thanks for the heads up. Have you had any experience with Rough Country? From what I've read and heard they are pretty good.

Their customer service is awesome. IF you find Grimmus on here in the vendor section and contact him he'll give you the forum 10% off discount.

Anyone with pics of the rough country bumper on their rig? I was looking at possibly purchasing it also. The pics on the RC website aren't the best..lol.

Wow, good to know. I was just deciding on a front bumper and found the Smittybilt. I was planning on ordering this week.
