4.5 with 33's and bushwackers would be fine. I think 33's on 6.5 looks a little goofey. Look through this thread. It will give you just about every setup you can imagine. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f59/xj...up-thread-260/.

You goin long arms or short arms?

You also have to consider your cog. When you get past 4.5", your center of gravity gets pretty high. This means that your rig cant handle as steep of an angle as a rig that has a 4.5" lift. Crawling is more about down travel than it is up travel. So imo, a 4.5 long arm will run a 6.5 short arm into the ground. And at 4.5, you should atleast consider control arm drop brackets. Short arms really limit down travel. Do some google searches and do some reading. You will learn alot. Just search whatever you want and put cherokee forum at the end of it. Like "4.5 or 6.5 cherokee forum". You will have hours of reading.

Ueah i took into the effect of my cog and i was also planning on getting the control arm drop beackets not only for down travel but a smoother ride as my dd. Also im afraid of the body roll effect of long arms especially after rolling my last wranglerthat had them ( were in my dd) and im leaning toward that 4.5 short arm

6.5 and 33's work fine, many run that setup

But you can run bigger tires on smaller lift if you don't mind cutting

I dont have any experence with long arms but i dident think they effected body roll. Sway bars are what limit body roll. Did you have sway bars on your wrangler?

6.5" on short arms is going to have a very harsh ride.

You might want to consider upgrading to Long Arms or a Drop bracket kit at the very least.
