We need something a little more comprehensive than 'bring it back'. If you leave it open to them what exactly to design the new Cherokee for, they'll just turn it into another road queen with limited offroad capability.

Ok, so the "liberty" may have replaced the XJ...but If you take a look at the Commander, I think that is the "new XJ", IMO.....Same square boxxy look at least...although I am not a fan of the front suspension...Seems like the wrangler is the only Jeep still produced with straight axles...

x2 on bringing back the 4.0 However Chrysler will never bring either back. Also the commander is not the "new cherokee" The new liberty was made boxier to appeal to old XJ owners. However you will not see me behind that craptastic minivan engine if you killed me and tried to stuff me in the drivers seat. Give me a engine worthy to be in a Jeep and I will drive it.
