side mount spare tire carrier on an xj?
anybody think or try to do this? like put the fith wheel on the side of the xj like the ******* jeep?
just a semi bored thought.. i havent really looked at it or thought much about the specifics.
it would be different thought.

One con is it'll get caught on trees, rocks, etc. when wheeling with it on the side like that.
Not to mention, I picture it looking pretty silly...

Would suck for aerodynamics. Also it would just seem outta place on a boxy SUV. The reasons mentioned earlier are probably why a company hasn't made this for the XJ.

Unless it's larger than a 33 then keep it off the room, makes it too top heavy. Never liked my spare out back, caught it on rocks and had to keep it almost flat so when it did hit it didn't rip off my bumper. Oddly enough I can fit a full size 38 in the rear.
