Hi !! Im a newbee and was wondering if this forum can give me a helping hand. My 89 XJ has a manual remote (joystick style adjustment) on the passenger side that i needed to replace. I bought a new one online but i noticed that the cable of the new mirror is way too long compared to the old mirror. I managed to compress the adjusting cable into the rear space behind the mirror. Since its cramped up inside the assembly, i can hardly adjust the mirror to a setting that suits me. Since the new mirror came in brand new, i reckon it has a standard cable length but damn... its not working fine.

Is there any trick in positioning the cable ? Its way too long compared to themold one !! What gives ???
