This is mainly for Mickdime but thought I would post it for all to comment on.

In the UK XJ's come with indicator lenses above the wheel arches do US models have this or not?

usa xj's dont and i think ours sit higher as well but not 100% on that

 

do UK ones come stock with headlight covers?

No they do not come with headlight covers as standard, this is not my jeep just a pic off the internet (ebay).

My XJ currently has 6" of snow on it so no chance of getting pic, my 95 model does not have these headlight covers.

There is an xj mail truck around here that has the same side markers. But other than that yours is the only other one i have seen.

 

I thank you 50 times for not calling them blinkers.
