Got these from an 89-95 Taurus. Had to do some cutting in the dash and remove the vent. The downside is I no longer have use of any dash vents and the heat only works out of the defroster and the floor simultaneously. I didn't care about losing the vents since my XJ didn't come with AC and we'll see how the heat works on the next cold morning.

THIS ^^ is full of win. If I wasn't going to put my switches in the vent slot I would be doing this right now.
Great job!

Put in this 97-01 soundbar behind the front seats, used some 3 dollar flat fenceposts from home depot to go across the top for support, screwed through the soundbar into those, now I can have music AND no doors.
instead of just one or the other. plus it sounds amazing with the door speakers + the soundbar.

Don't know how it got all scuffed in the middle, but I couldn't even see that until i took a picture with the flash on. I would never have known that was there without taking a picture.
$40 well spent.

Forgot this, moved the overhead light forward when i ripped out the headliner, just to not have ugly wires right overhead.

yes, the Stig Soap on a Rope is necessary.

G'day.
It wasn't a hard mod. I removed the garage door remote tray and mounted the CB mount in there.
The UHF is a UNIDEN UH7700NB. Fits real nice. I used a sun visor clip/mount as a hook to keep the curly cord out of the way.
I think it's the best spot for it. Out of the way but easily accessible and.
to use.
Actually, with some clever cutting, you could mount it stealth. Stick the UHF on the inside of the remote cover and remove the curly cord when not in use. Just close the tray and viola, no UHF.
cheers

G'day.
I'll try...
It's actually made up of 3 or 4 lights.
I started with a 240v fluro that wasn't being used any more, threw out the guts of it so I could use the body and lense. These I cut down to the length I needed to mount the tombstone mounts from a broken twin tube 12v fluro I got from camper van. I have plenty of 12v fluro tubes because the starters seem to go before the tube in the cheap *** work lights I purchased.
I fitted a heavy duty 12v toggle switch and wired it into the cargo rear light. It works just a standard light but puts out heaps more light...
cheers
