yea I've done my research and decided no grand. I'm now looking at this one, just can't get the guy quite where I want him on price...

Everyone loves the square back jeep and this is the last year they came out.
Mileage is key with an XJ like this. No matter what, a 20-year-old Jeep is going to require some TLC. If it doesn't need it right this second, it will tomorrow. Fortunately, if you're even the slightest bit mechanically inclined then you're in luck because the parts are cheap and the labor is free.

I would differently look it over really well and don't believe anything that this dealer will tell you. Since he has no idea what he is talking about. 2001 was the last year for the XJ.

Weeeell if its got the I6, then the power/weight ratio is worse than the XJ's, and if it's got the V8, it's probably missing the front track bar, any skid plates, the front leather seats, alternator, maybe the rear axle, and who knows what else...
