It's not impossible either. It CAN be fixed, it's just taking the time/ money to do it.
Personally I wouldn't have a problem fixing it. Might not be perfect but it wouldn't be rocket science to get a good seal. Haven't you seen the thread where the guy replace the Pillar along with other mumbojumbo?
That being said I'd still buy it, fix it enough, and cage the sob lol

 

I think it's a good one for the price as long as it's in good condition.

 

I'd want new metal in there for strength, and that would cost.
If you're going to cage it - that's another story!

 

Would make a good parts vehicle.
