Sure Long arms are better off road. Never was an issue here. But its what you actually need that I always consider. Hydro steering is better also. But I don't need it. Not having long arms has not hindered my off roading as of yet.

For me the largest problem when tackling trails is my unwillingness to do body damage. Nothing else has really stopped me from any obstacles.

You know as well as I that you need to flex enough. Not overkill and not at all. A ton of flex does not mean you can go anywhere. And sometimes it gets you into trouble. There are times when hanging a wheel can help a lot.

The only reason for me to get long arms at the moment is if I decide to make my daily driver a trail rig. Then I would consider it.
Not disagreeing. Just posting for the benefit of others.

I've always heard short arms ride worse on the road than long arms are you inferring that it might make you a more risk taking trail driver?

They do. Long arms were the best on road and offroad upgrade I've done.

The way you said it sounds like you were avoiding longarms for street use for some reason.

No, I just went off of the factory specs. When you put a ruler to it, it measures only a hundred.

Yes sir. Exactly what I wanted. The only drawback so far is body damage. Which is a big draw back.

If its low, narrow and flexes easy. It moves along well off road, with little hang ups compared to wider rigs. Makes up for the smallish tires.
