Default Sell or Donate?

Hello! I’m new to this forum, but have owned 2 stock Cherokees (‘99 Base, ‘01 Sport) for the last 25 years. Sadly, about 3 years ago, they both died within 6 months of each other. I swapped out anything that could have been contributing to the overheating, and had 2 Jeep master mechanics work their magic to no avail. Long story short, I have 2 dead Cherokees in my driveway. Not been driven in 2 years. 01 is in reasonably good shape inside and out. 99 is fair to rough inside and out. Garage kept but daily Chicago drivers. Spent the last 2 Chicago winters outside. Sell or donate?

Sell. Always sell. There is always going to be someone wanting parts and/a cheep fixer upper. Donating them will likely lead to them ending up junked and crushed.

OK thanks for the advice. I seriously debated whether to drop new engines in them during COVID, when used car prices were insane, but both my mechanics told me they'd have me arrested if I did that.

Default Gotta Sell 'Em

I still have them. Need to get some pics up and see if anyone wants them. It's like selling your favorite dogs!

this is sarcasm right?

I agree, list them for sale vs donating them. Your dead XJs could be some kids stepping stone into the offroad community 😮

New here too and feel for you with those Cherokees. If the '01 is still decent shape, selling might get you something back, especially to a parts hunter. Donating could work too if you want the tax write off check local charities or junkyards for options.
