my friend has an h1. its cool. i wish i could get an hmmv in the soft top wagon style, like we had at fort benning. that sucker was a rock
i used to work at a facility that made parts for the hmmwv, the real hummer.
they are quite large, and i do kinda like the different variations of them.
but if i could, i'd rock a knight xv. these things are massive. and made in canada. also, they will take 24 hours of constant gun shower.
here's one crapping out a hummer now.

here is some more eye candy.

I know a guy with an H3 and he wheels the shizznit out of it. He's even a Trail Guide on our group runs....and not on the "bunny" trails either. He has one of those Jeep Recovery decals too...because (sadly) it's occasionally true

H1s are nice. but the ride quality is just horrid and they have no real power. especially the 6.2 diesel. it has such a hard time maintaining highway speeds. but i have actually driven one through 4 feet of snow without a single problem.

I grabbed a ride in a US army HMMV in Bosnia way back when... seemed happy to go anywhere, but our land rovers did better just because they fitted the local's wheel ruts better and the place was heavily mined....
I heard that the HMMV is so wide for the opposite reason - so it can fit in tank tracks and avoid mines that way.

thing is it wasn't an HMMV the OP saw... sure the HMMV is definitely bad ***, The H1 is pretty cool too... It is the General Motors spin off of the HMMV and the H1 that suck. The H3 is only better then the H2 on the trail because the H3 isn't a hummer like body on a suburban chassis. It is a hummer like body on a trail blazer chassis. It is a smaller and lighter vehicle.

That was a seriously funny video! I couldn't stop laughing
