Is Seafoam safe to do with 200K miles?
Well, after all the hype about Seafoam, I decided to buy a can. The mileage probably doesn't matter because I'm only pouring it in the TB and gas tank, not the crankcase, but it's better to be safe than sorry. So, it should be fine to use in the TB and gas tank with 200k, right? I'll let everyone know how it goes tomorrow.

shouldnt hurt it, but dont pour it in the tb use a vacuum line so you dont put too much in the engine at once and hydro lock the engine

From what I hear about the Cherokee's intake setup, you can't use the brake booster vaccuum line because the way it's set up, it'll only reach 2 or 3 cylinders. The only way is to let it trickle into the TB slowly. I figure for under $10, if it works then that's great, but if it doesn't, oh well.

x2. have a buddy behind the wheel giving it 1500 to 2000 rpms so it doesnt die.
pour into the TB so it reaches all the cylinders. just have to do it slowly.
did it not too long ago on mine, with 196,xxx.
no problems or anything. it had a much smoother idle and was a bit more responsive.

I Seafoamed earlier today and it worked great. Made a real nice smoke show for the neighbors. It idles smoother and seems to have better acceleration...but it's hard to tell because my foot's always on the floor anyway. I used it in the throttle body and gas tank. I guess we'll see if I get better mileage after I empty the tank. I would definitely recommend everyone uses Seafoam.

All I did was pop off the intake tube, put my thumb over the opening of the can, revved the engine a little, and let it trickle in slowly. After I poured half the can in, I shut off the engine, poured the rest in the gas tank and waited 5 minutes. Then I started it up again and revved the **** out of it, smoked real thick for about a minute then dwindled down and I took it for a ride.
