Exclamation School project/gas mileage please read

ok so im doing a civil advocacy project were my friend and i are trying to fight or cause awearnes of certain things. we came up with the idea to crate awearnes about gasoline and the way its taxed

i would love to see what you guys think about the subject in regards to your driving habits/mpg

http://www.commonsensejunction.com/n...-tax-rate.html this website has every tax by state. if you could please post your opinions on the the amount of tax in your state with the amount it would be greatly aprisiated.
you can also post your average mpg and about how much you spend on gas a month it would be awesome

Thanks

Ohio 47.4 cents a gallon. I get 14-17mpg depending on how and where i drive. I don't mind that 1/8 of my gas bill goes to taxes what pisses me off is how they spend it. I usually put in 35 bucks in every week.

how would you spend the money?
keep in mind that every day 388.6 million gallons of gas are sold

last weeks average gallon of gas in the us cost $3.401

thats $1,323,960,200 per day

thats $244,716,774 in federal taxes per day!

Here in GA its like 29.2 or whatever the chart says for the state i fill up about every 10 days or so and that about 61 bucks or so depending on the price but right now on my last tank im getting poor mileage compared to the 15 i used to get this one is like 12 if that and im not driving different at all. I agree with the member above me its really not the money its the wasteful government expenditures. But im sure some of that tax is just going to pay for more gov't vehicles to drive around so what can i do lol?

In OK it is 17. I get 20-23 mpg. Gas is approx $2.99 (non-ethanol @ 7-11). I typically spend $55 to fill up about every 9 days.
