Not cool. Sorry for the loss. This just shows why someone should always have a fire extinguisher in their vehicle.

He was haulin some small square bales yesterday and there was loose hay in the bed. Thats what ignited. What caused it to ignite is the unknown. He camped out and had a fire last night with some friends but the fire didn't start until he was driving home around 11am today. Fire department thinks an ember from the fire must have gotten into the hay and it didn't take off until he was going down the road.

Sorry for the loss.

Damn....That just blows! You weren't kidding when you said it was toasted, either! Just a little sanding and primer, should be good to go!

Time for a 383 swap and a fresh interior.

By the time he realized it was on fire I think it was too late for a fire extinguisher as well. No, him and his friend were not hurt physically...was his first vehicle though so needless to say he's pretty bummed.
