Rusty's Off Road... what do you guys think?
I found a group of people online that seem to hate Rusty's Off Road. One person even said that Rusty himself had cussed them out over the phone. This seems like a load of B.S. to me. What have been the experiences that you guys have had with Rusty's Off Road? I've heard a lot of good things about their products and their service.

his steering parts and trackbars are dangerous. i have a few friends who have had them fail on the street, nevermind the trail.
poor weld penetration and cheap/small tie rod ends.
his response to the people who havecalled about his "trail tested tough" parts break was "wanna buy a new one?" i wouldnt want to run another part that could cost me my life

i bought my lift from them and love it, had no issues. everything seems extremly beefy, exp. the LCA's. I also have called them with multiple questions about some of there products online and recieved the best customer service i have ever gotten.
IME i really like them and will continue to go to them for aftermarket parts.

I dont know about any of their custom stuff, but the brand name stuff i've bought from them is usually cheaper than elsewhere and ships quicker.

I've only ordered my rear quarter guards from them. They were the best priced anywhere, seem of decent quality and were shipped fast. My buddy has their long arms and has beat up on them pretty good, and everything holding up fine. Maybe we got lucky?

I bought a complete lift kit from them. They were great to me and I had no problems. I would buy from them again.

I think that you may get some crappy things from them or some well made stuff. It is just luck. I personally don't like to gamble on that kinda stuff so I shy away from "Rusty's" but the next guy may love them.

Horrifying shipping costs!!
I ordered my front coils from him, and was charged $55 shipping!
And its not based on weight either.
Not when I got all four of my wheels from summit, and it only cost $11.95!

Ok after reading this thread, kinda gives me a feel down in the gut not to order the 6.5" LA kit that ive been planning on from Rustys. Yea like some say, some guys get lucky, well when ordering parts for especially when it comes to steering, that is for sure the last thing i wanna try an be "Lucky" on when it comes to parts.
