I have never done body work of any kind. I have a vague knowledge of what to do though.

These are the only rust spots on the jeep. They were cause by the previous owner who installed the roof rack ubolts upside down and the one end smacking off of the roof.

I new to know the steps you guys would take to fix this rust. I don't care if the paint matches or not. The guides I have read are vague on some steps.

I need to know sandpaper and grit/use a flap disc, what primer to get, coats, etc.

Thanks! Let's help me get this cancer off my jeep.

You can sand that down real good and use Rustoleum primer and then paint over that with your choice of color/clear coat.

It's just surface rust...

Just sand down to the bare metal til the rust is gone, go slightly beyond the edges of it too. Use a rust stopping primer with zinc and whatever you want over that.

80 should be plenty, no need to go nuts.
