Well the time has finally come that all the metal work is finally done and it's ready to be painted/undercoated. Now comes my questions!
1. What are all the best steps to prevent pan rust again?
2. Best way to undercoat the undercarriage?
I have already bought raptor liner kit. I originally planned to just bed line the undercarriage. Now I'm thinking I should use some chassis saver first, then use the Berliner? For the interior floor I'm probably going to use the cheap $7 can of aerosol rustoleum truck liner.
Opinions??

I believe proper primer is the key to longevity.
Bedliner and paint act like a shell, which moisture can form (condensation) or creep behind. If chipped or scratched there is exposure.
Most undercoating is asphalt based and does not fully harden like a paint or bedliner. It adheres better and the oils penetrate metal. After it is fully cured, solvent will melt it off.
I have used a gun and air compressor to spray undercoating, but the cans are much easier. Cover the garage floor with cardboard because it makes a big mess.

I have always used good ole 3m undercoating in spray cans its works fine.Undercoating is rubbery and will flex and make rocks bounce off.Bedliner drys hard and don't flex as much and can chip if you hit it hard enough.

Mine doesn't have any rust on it at all to speak of.
Undercoating is really what you want to use and I have used the 3M a few times on our company trucks when replacing something on the undersides.
