Default Running out of gas sucks!!!

I was on my way home from work today and I ran out of gas! ( my gauge is always pegged on E because its broken) so I'm on the highway and it finally died... I slapped it into neutral and coasted all the way to the gas station!!! When I stopped at the pump... I look over and I'm at the diesel only pump!!! I felt so accomplished that I made it all the way until we had to push it to the next pump over...

i hope the container its in is sealed well. gas fumes in the cab = no good

i also hope you dump it in your tank once in a while. gasoline has a shelf life of about 90 days

Yes it's got a good seal. I've heard gasoline shelf life is 9 months to 2 years. Anyways I use it once a month to be on the safe side.

I have to say this when i ran out of gas of the first time in my jeep she was running fine at the red light so when it turned green i stepped on the gas and she was not moving but about 5 mph and would not go faster so on the other side of the intersection there was a gas station where i parked her. she was idling fine but then died... so i had to push her about 30ft to the pump sweting my **** off got to the pump filled her up and then would not start.... so i am freaking out and the owner of the gas station came out and said i had to move the car and i told him what was going on and made me move it uphill to a parking spot i looked up and saw a auto repair shop and he came out and looked at it and when i started it air was coming out of fuel rail so when she ran out of gas means she "was out of gas" then i thought **** that would had been the perfect time to drop the tank and fix the gas gauge...

And still to this day she sits in the drive was till i get the speed sensor fix

To Everyone: if you have bad rings in your jeep use this http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...ier=560524_0_0 it will be a temp fix til you can rebuild it. it workes put it in my jeep and it runs fine

My dd in college was a '69 C-10 with a bad gas gauge. Ran out of gas once on the way to school. Fixed the prob after that. Running outta gas sucks!
