Hello everyone, I am looking for some insight on this lift.
http://roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_4x.html
Has anyone used this lift or know anyone that has? Does it need a drop pitman arm, sye or anything else that is not in the kit itself? Also, how does it ride? I am not looking for a cadillac ride but, a good on and off road ride.
Thanks for all the help, ideas and suggestions.

I used their 4" kit on a 1986 Cherokee with great results, it comes with a dropped track bar bracket to compensate for the lift. I bought the kit with new rear springs so I didn't have to use those dreaded lift blocks, ride was a little firmer than stock, not as much lean going around corners, I was very well satisfied with their kit. rough country lifts are fine, you should have no problem with it.
anytime you lift a jeep its going to ride rougher than stock, doesn't matter what the lift is.
you will also need an SYE and a driveshaft, some control arm drop brackets wouldn't hurt either. and you shouldnt need a pitman arm

Thank you all for the information. I actually just sent Grimmus a PM about pricing. Any other things to worry about or recommendations besides the sye? Where would be a good place to get a sye with shaft?

Moved to Cherokee Chat!
If you were installing the lift and had questions then it would be relevant in Tech. But all you are asking for basically are opinions which is more of a Cherokee Chat topic.

I've got RC's 4.5" long arm definently great kit for the money. Also got a Advance Adapters slip yoke eliminator & Tom Woods driveshaft shipped to my door was just under $1700. Placed order through John/sflxj at Morris 4x4 Center.

very interesting. I've been looking into one of the Rough county X factor long arms kits for my 96. everyone on this forum has nothing but positive results. the other Cherokee forum naxj--- dosent like them. they think they are junk.from what I've seen the pictures look good. i am running Rusty's on my 87 with good results. another brand the other forum beats on Harshly.
