rough country 4.5" leaves
Hey guys I've been having some problems with my lift and I'm trying g to get some info so when I talk to rough country (if they ever email me back. I need to call em) that ill have my ducks in a row. Does anybody have full replacement leafs for a 4.5" lift from them that they haven't installed yet? If so can you measure from eye to eye (straight across not down the length of the leaves) and tell me what their measurement is.
Thanks a ton!

I just installed them last weekend. They seem about 3" shorter then the stock leaves eye to eye. I bolted them to the shackle put the front up by were it needs to be and took some of the arch out if them with a bottle jack. I had to have a pry bar in between body and spring so I could use it to pry the end down to get the bolt in. It was easy once I figured out how to get them in. I ended up getting 7 3/4" of lift from them. The rear measures 24 3/4" hub to flare. The shackle will be all the way forward till the weight of the jeep is on them.

I called them and got the measurements t of what they should be and they were correct. Basically we just had to attach it to the front and use the Jeeps weight to spread it out. We used a big ol' pry bar and pushed the shackles forward. With some finangling it all worked out nicely. Defintely a two person job though. They just seem short because they've never had any weight on them before.

That surprises me they were more than helpful with me. Have you contacted Jason? He's like a forum Rep and is super helpful. He's grimmus here on the forum. When I get home ill check my shackles. You might want to look at extended shackles. Apparently the ride will improve and so will your flex with them. Autozone or advanced auto has some for like 35 bucks. There's a write up here on the forum about them. But like I said ill try and grabs photo when I get home. We did have to push them forward to get them to attach in the install but I don't remember how they liked after.

you need a floor jack under the axle, and a bottle jack between the back 1/4 of the leaf spring and the body. as it straightens out, it reaches back to where you can bolt the shackle to it.

My shackle is burried against the front of the shackle box with my heavier floors isntalled, and my customer recovery bumper.
Its a retarded shackle angle and isnt acceptable by any means. I love rouch country, but its bull****. I plan on going with long arms to replace my short arms, and shackle relocation, but if after "driving it", it dosent atleast sit straight up and down. I want my shackle relocation for free.
My .02 make it right or don't ship it.
I wont even get into it with the front short arms at the proper lengths, with 0 room for down travel and the shock mount pressed against the top of the lower control arm.
