Default Roof Rack Question

I'm currently building a roof rack and I plan on using the JCR gutter mounts. Should I leave the stock rack sliders on or take them off? Need Suggestions please. Thanks

Also, Do these Mounts mess up the gutter?

idk how they would. just figured clamping metal down to paint would mess something up. What would I do with the Bolt holes on the stock roof rack?

Silicone seal it ? maybe. And if your worried about the clamps, get some old rubber and place in there. Or silicone again i have an old boot i use for clamping pieces that way i dont ruin the paint or something.

I secure to the OEM rack crossovers. Added couple more from my parts vehicle to insure good support. The OEM rails and crossovers are actually very strong.
