Default Roof Rack Pics, Credit to gornikebounder for his fab thread

Well i finally finished it! Got to give the credit to gornikebounder for his thread https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f58/home-brew-emt-roof-rack-21684/ , thanks.

What do yall think?

Its 42" x 58" x 5"

Couple lights to come up front, then high lift jack on one side and something else i need on the other. i'm sure i will need more stuff.

Got any questions just ask. it was easier than i thought, just a little time consuming.

Thanks all, the total cost was around 90.

not sure, i think that is going to be my only regret. it got nicked up a little on the install. didnt even hit it that hard. oh well! if it doesn't hold up i will just take it off. pressure wash that stuff off and re attack it with something stronger. no big deal.

Just got a few questions for you.

How did you connect the corners? Pipe bender? 90 degree elbows?

Did you U-bolt it to the stock rail?

Where did you get the diamond plates?

have you found out where to buy gutter mounts? my '91 XJ was a county jeep and doesnt have factory rails for a luggage rack. so gutter mount is my only option, which i find to be stronger anyway. especially bouncing through trails with a 33x12.50x15 TSL Super Swamper up there. lol.

Here - http://www.jcroffroad.com/Merchant2/...ry_Code=XJMISC

May as well add twenty bucks and get six mounts instead of 4. It will be crazy strong after that.

It'll mount closer to the body of the XJ too which i find looks better.

Looks nice as is but once its closer to the roof it'll look great.
