Default Roof Rack for 89 Cherokee XJ

Can anyone recommend a sturdy, low cost (I know those two requirements may be at odds) roof rack (for carrying camping stuff) for and 89 XJ Cherokee 2 door?

I got a cheap, $99 roof rack from Wal Mart. It's small, which I like for a rack... says it will carry 150lbs. Seems sturdy enough. I have packed over 100lbs of stuff on it with no problem.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check that out. Did you camp the basket to your oem Jeep cross racks or did you add some gutter racks?

Yes, I clamped it to the OEM cross racks. The OEM rails are thinner than the rack manufacturer intended so I used some 1" diameter by 1/2" polyurethane spacers (washers), stacked 2 high, to get it to clamp tight. It's held on very well. You can see the white spacers in the pic.

You can see it in my pictures but I'll get some close up pics posted tomorrow. Wife has it at the moment because little blonde girls love Jeeps.

How much camping stuff you got?A cooler and a tent will fit in the back of the jeep no problem.
