Default Roof light glare

Awhile back i finished my light bar/roof rack and noticed right away that the glare was a problem. i know KC makes glare shields, but theyre ugly as sin. ive been thinking for awhile of a way to eliminate the problem, and i came up with a few ideas..

-First to get a lund visor. i figured this might eliminate some or all glare
-Make some glare shields that dont extend as far, like on a bike headlight
-paint the bottom of the lights with some sort of high heat paint?

let me know what you think..

Painting part of the lenses will most likely kill your light output, depending on how much you paint.

Is it possible for you to slide the light bar/roof rack backward? That would use the roof as a glare shield.

I think so. but I'm not sure how far. Maybe that in combination with a visor will do the trick.

paint your hood flat black, or is the glare only on your windshield?

for roof mounted lights to not get glare is to either use glare shields or get the proper lights which are long range pencil beams.

They're 130w daylighter spots. Since the last time I Had them on, the whole Jeep has been painted black. Its not flat, but I imagine anything would be better than the previous light blue.. the glare was on the windshield and on the hood though
