I ended up rolling a couple times on the highway, but she still runs just fine. I'd like to chop off the roof, gate, and some fender and convert the doors to half doors. First post, so let me know if I'm in the wrong place. Thanks.

Better do a full cage if you're gonna chop. You'll need to do stiffeners to have proper tie in points. Also, how's the uniframe? Street rig or is it now an off-road only vehicle? There's a LOT of work to do it right, and if you're gonna street it, you need to make sure it's safe.

How did it happen? Everyone OK?

Unless you plan on spending some money you might plan on just parting it out. There is a lot to be done for .a complete chop

Plan on doing the cage, frame seems good. I'd like to keep it street legal. I rolled it paying the slow people in the snow. It's what i get. It was just me involved, not a scratch. Thanks.

None that I've noticed, but i haven't driven it apart from on and of the trailer and into my driveway. I need a windshield and mirrors to be on the road.

Got any photos of how bad it is. That would help with the answers.

well I'm glad you're alright! IMO go for it as long as you check all your steering, frame, and suspension! Make sure it'll be 100% safe by the time you're done. Cage it and get a new roof. You might have some alignment issues you'll have to mess with a lot. But if it was mine I'd do it. It would be a cool project

I'd be really wry about planning on streeting a rig that's been rolled. Visually the damage doesn't look bad but you never know what could've bent. I would absolutely check your alignment, that will give you a good idea whether or not the frame has been bent.

It'd need a thorough going over, but doesn't look too much worse than this Heep.

Thanks! And good idea, until now I've never thought of the roof being a part i could get; I'll look into cutting a roof of another xj getting parted or something.
